Dr. Albert Granger
Albert Granger, DDS, PLLC

Dr. Albert Granger earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at Elizabethtown College in 1983. He received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry in 1987. At Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, he earned his Certificate in Endodontics in 1993.

Additionally, Dr. Granger completed his Postgraduate Training at Harlem Hospital/Sydenham N.F.C.C. He served as a Dental Intern from July, 1987 until July, 1988 and then served as Chief Resident from July 1988 to July, 1989.

Dr. Granger was in Private Practice as a General Dentist from 1988 to 1993 in Glen Cove, NY. From 1993 until the present, Dr. Granger has been in Private Practice as an Endodontist in his Glen Cove, NY office. In 1998, Dr. Granger expanded his Endodontic Practice to this Garden City, Ny location.

Dr. Granger has teaching affiliations with the Harlem Hospital Center and the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. At the Harlem Hospital Center, Dr. Granger served as Assistant Attending from 1988 to 1992 and as Past Chairman and Member of the Intern and Resident Selection Committee from 1989 to 1992.

From 1993 until the present, he has served as Director of Endodontics at the Harlem Hospital Center. There, he is responsible for organizing didactic and clinical activities for the General Practice Residents and the Oral Surgery Residents in the Discipline of Endodontics.

At Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, Dr. Granger has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Endodontics since 1993. In this position, he lectures undergraduate dental students and supervises the undergraduate and graduate dental clinics.

Dr. Granger has presented lectures in "Endodontic Diagnosis" and "Endodontic Access" to the Harlem Community Dental Society and the Greater Metropolitan Dental Society.

Dr. Granger has also presented research findings on "Subacute Bacterial Endocarditis" and "Nursing Bottle Syndrome" to:

  • Greater Chesapeake Dental Society in Baltimore, MD
  • Greater New York Dental Meeting in New York, NY
  • District of Columbia Dental Society in Washington, DC
  • The Post Graduate Seminar at Howard University in Washington, DC

Dr. Granger has received numerous honors and awards throughout his professional career. To name a few, he was named Attending of the Year, at Harlem Hospital. In 1989 Dr. Granger received the Award to Chief Resident for Dedication and Service to the Hospital and Community, Harlem Hospital. Also, in 1989, Dr. Granger was the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Oral Surgery, Department of Oral Surgery, Harlem Hospital.

It is important to add, that Dr. Granger has served as City Councilman in his hometown of Glen Cove, NY since 1994. His other civic duties include membership in the Glen Cove Lions Club, and the NAACP. Dr. Granger is a Board Member of the Glen Cove YMCA, the Glen Cove EEOC, and Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S. ( a cancer awareness organization).

Dr. Granger is also a member of the National Association of Guardsmen, Inc. and The Boule. He is married and has two daughters.
